Wecome to November

I woke to rain hitting the deck….I rolled over and went back to sleep to the wonderful sound…..been cloudy and wet most of the day…

Finally feels like fall, my cactus aren’t happy but I am….LOL

So day 3 of my personal challenge – working out everyday for a week…yesterday I went swimming and did my 20 minutes and took a nice long hot tub for my achy nees and shoulder….right back at it  this morning….I will not go over my 1000 cal quota today and trying keep my carbs under 100….and upping my protein…so I feel ready to get through the holidays….and I am focused and back on track…it has taken me forever to loose this last 15#’s to reach my next goal…. so I am going to nail this before the New Year and maybe more…fingers crossed…

1energy-health-clubs-cotati-ca  Upped the weights and did a strong workout….had a good sweat going when I was done….I skipped the pool today as it was kids day….I can do without the noise they make….so 4 more days to go…..not a problem….not weighing until Saturday this week….not even thinking about it….just getting on with the path to weight loss…..

Had a wonderful Halloween at my daughters, we had everything pumpkin, so I enjoyed it all….the men didn’t care to much for it, but oh well..it was about Halloween after all….

Arthritis is not happy with the cloudy, cold weather….my shoulder ached most of the night….I am really tired of taking advil and naproxen… we will be heading for the desert in about 2 weeks….can’t wait….however it was 82′ here yesterday….but wouldn’t believe that by looking outside today…maybe some cream on my shoulder before bed….my hands ache today…not whining but just stating a fact….

Monday….

Another good day on my journey…exercise is getting easier….just buck up and do it and its done for the day…so that’s a plus…I down loaded another couple App’s “my diet coach”, it reminds me to drink water and to fill my lunch and dinner plates with mostly vegies, send me encouraging thoughts…kinda keeping me on track and focused… I use the other for tracking my weight and calories, something I report to daily, if not hourly sometimes…..its nice to have a reminder to drink water…its not something I remember to do throughout the day..it does a lot of other things, but the reminders I think will be helpful…I also down loaded a 7 minute work out that actually times the exercise for you, 30 seconds exercise, 10 seconds rest, then on to the next…I will be able to change the exercises to my ability…I am thinking 7 minutes day is do-able…LOL  maybe even twice in one day…LOL  I will continue with the exercise regime I have started….the more the better….I am pretty sure that this in one place in my life that  the “less is best” wont’ work…so it seems like I am on the right path…slowly changing my wicked food ways…and have seen some results..Energy level up, sleeping better, haven’t had any nasty conversations with myself, new mantras are coming to mind more often..I have not tried to compare my journey to what was before in my life…It also is nice to follow other journeys that people are on regardless of the reason…makes me feel more part of the larger picture…not all alone and trying…until tomorrow…

Day 3…getting easier

Day three was a breeze….I might need to knock on wood the day is not over…. but I have exercised…whoo hoo  and counted every calorie that went past my lips…and its after 7p…..I still have 163 calories left for a snack later….I have had no desire for the naughty foods…I am trying not to think about them or give them any power to call my name…LOL..my little blog is helping keep me focused and on track….Day 4 Easter..looking forward to it……
